Rumors have been flying about Britney Spears closing her deal to star on Season 2 of the US version of ‘The X Factor’. We can finally report that her position as judge on the reality competition show is final. News first broke in early March that the pop star was in negotiations to join the judge’s panel, and just as speculation died down, Deadline reported that Spears’ team was finalizing a deal. It was rumored that Spears was being offered million for a season of the show, and the latest is that it’s actually closer to million. Simon Cowell supposedly reached out to Spears personally to gauge her interest in joining the show, and has been praising her publicly, saying he is “fascinated” by her. Simon thinks being a judge on the show will be easy for the pop star. Cowell was quoted saying, “I would think that if she’s managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, [X Factor would be] a walk in the park.” It’s no doubt that X Factor has landed itself a stellar judge for Season 2, and we personally can’t wait to see the pop princess dominate reality TV.
